A Reiki healing session lasts up to an hour, it depends on what blockages you hold within. Hydration is important, please drink a glass of water after your session is over. The energy clearing will be best implemented when you're hydrated.
Relax and get comfortable. Preferably laying down in a quiet area where you will not be disturbed will be best.
Healing works differently for everyone. Do not expect instantaneous results. Energy works through any time and space. However, it may take up to a few hours for you to start noticing the results after a session, patience is encouraged.
I always recommend new clients to Reiki to start with 7 sessions. It does not have to be done each week, it can be completed within a few month period. Then, allow yourself some time to integrate the healing.
